My fourth interview and I'm truly excited to have you meet Sarah! Welcome to my Maker's Blog Interview Sarah, who just so happens to be my little sissy!
Sarah, I am in love with your style of painting! Obviously along with countless others - I spent SO much time looking at your custom pet portrait pieces because there was so many! The cool thing is, you paint horses, dogs, cats and I even saw a goat and sheep. It'd be so cool if someone asked you to do an exotic reptile...could you imagine a lizard? How amazing would that be????
So here's what everyone came for: your interview. Thanks Sarah! OH! And always, if you want to be featured or if you know someone who wants a little more eyes on their wares, have them or you, copy and paste these questions and fill in your own answers and sent them to fairchildfarmnmerc@gmail.com I can't wait to see what kinds of things you do!Â

What state do you live in?
Wisconsin

Can you tell me the story behind why you started your business?
I started painting animals for fun and showing people on social media. Then friends and family started to ask if I'd paint their pet's portraits. It's a fun way to make some extra income and painting pets felt good. It's personal and meaningful. Â

What's the biggest challenge with this business?Â
Time. Working full time, being a mom, a partner, pet mom and chores...makes this a little tough. But honestly, it's good for my soul to get into a painting. Just me and the paint making a special portrait come to life on canvas.Â

Do you have a favorite piece that you've done for a client?
YES!!! A large canvas painting of a pitbull. He was just a big burly sweetheart with a lot of character. I was so proud at how I captured his spirit. Â

What motivates you? Â
Taking care of my little family with my extra income and creating these are one kind of pieces. The best is when someone shares on social a video of someone opening up one of my paintings that was gifted to them. To see someone cry tears of joy because it looks just like their sweet pet is so awesome. It makes my heart happy.Â

Do you have any shows coming up? How can we see more work or put in an order?
Go to Artsy Animals By Sarah on Facebook or Instagram.Â

Thank you, Sarah!!!!!Â
