Hey, hey fifth interview here and I'm truly excited to have you meet Ashlyn! Welcome to my Maker's Blog Interview Ashlyn, who just so happens to be my sweet daughter!

Ash, I have to say, I feel a little like I had a hand in this. You know when you'd come home for the weekend and I was woodburning and say, I have a ton of signs to do, can you help? LOL! But your work is NEXT LEVEL! I'm so excited for people to see your work. The people portraits are so good.

So here's what everyone came for: your interview. Thanks sweetie pie! OH! And always, if you want to be featured or if you know someone who wants more eyes on their wares, have them or you, copy and paste these questions and fill in your own answers and sent them to fairchildfarmnmerc@gmail.com I can't wait to see what kinds of things you do!

What state do you live in?
Minnesota

Can you tell me the story behind why you started your business?
Well as you know mom, I did my first big wood burning of that cow, turned it in for 4H and won a purple and got to go to State Fair and won with it. After we showed it off, people started to ask my to wood burn their pets and off it went.

What's the biggest challenge with this business?
Social media...I really dislike it and just want to do creative stuff. But I need to advertise, so I guess I have to do it.

Do you have a favorite piece that you've done for a client?
That cow I did that started it! Or a dog named Luna. But Sailor turned out so good!

What motivates you?
I like to bring life to into the pets that people have lost. Customers have said that my burnings give them comfort because it actually feels like fur. I like making people happy with my art.

Do you have any shows coming up? How can we see more work or put in an order?
Find me on Facebook, "The Timber Tattooist".

Thank you, Ashlyn!
