Who are you, what's your business name and what state do you live in? I'm Christy Yaste from CYasteJewelryDesigns and I hail from Flagg, Texas, in the panhandle.
Can you tell me the story behind why you started this business? I've always loved creating things and started making jewelry years ago, stringing beads. I have always wanted to work with silver, be it jewelry making or bits and spurs. I have some super talented friends and have admired their works for years.
What's the biggest challenge in your business? I think for me the biggest challenge is marketing, I love being in my shop and building but the social media side, taking photos and going to shows is not really my gig. I'm a one woman show and I prefer to be behind the scenes, tucked away in my shop.
Favorite order you've made? Ooohhh, that's a tough one!! I love them all, because I learn something new from each piece I make. Each piece holds a special place for me as it shows how far I've come.
What motivates you? For me, it's that I'm always learning something new, which drives me to improve my work. I'm inspired by so many other artists out there and think that maybe one day, I'll get there too.
